In fact that's a kind of LIS department but the thing is that LIS departments now have a variety of names and their place and situation in academia is a big issue.if you look at LIS departments around the world you'll see them in art, humanities, business, computer, literature, or some other faculties or schools and some times they are independent as a school. Can anybody say where we are in a university?

It seems that while the Library Science schools are gradually being picked up, their courses are adopted in different ways by other departments. Add to this new majors that we think they are new features of librarianship but they are offered by computer or business departments.
